My favorite sketchbook! I can’t tell you how many people comment on its appearance, and who want one. I give them the Nomad website almost daily, as I sit in coffee shops drawing and painting. So thankful for these sketchbooks, they are, themselves, a work of art.

I'm a professional Santa and intend to use the 6"x 9" version for my "Naughty or Nice" book. I plan to keep it at my side when I'm in my big chair! I think it will be perfect once I get the project completed. The leather binding is a little light for my purposes, so I'm reinforcing it a little. And my next challenge is to translate the children's names into Elvish, (actually Tengwar Eldamar) the language the Elves use, and then inscribe them on that fantastic paper. I'm looking forward to using it next Holiday season.

I’m an old artist who will buy $20. blue jeans but I love my tools … I bought this journal through Amazon.ca and proceeded to see what it could do or what it would let me do … I gave it watercolour play, acrylic play, collage and ink … I got the pages wet and I listened to it scream for mercy … this baby is better than a Timex watch when it comes to taking a beating … don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to beat it for I sure do love it 💕 Many thanks for creating this beautiful product … sincerely Dorothy Grant-Atchison

I bought this on Amazon UK. I had really hoped the journal would look like the one in the pictures, but there's sadly a slight variation. The leather does not have an "overhang" past the pages / the leather doesn't extend past the pages. To my disappointment, it's vice versa. This is a detail that I'm really bothered by.
Otherwise I like the look and feel of the journal. Beautiful distressing/aging on the pages.
I ordered the journal as a gift for my brother and they were kind enough to deliver it within two days, so I could give it to him right in time. I’m absolutely satisfied with the service let alone with the journal itself, which was most perfect version of a vintage notebook. Also my brother loved it and was overjoyed !

This is the most beautiful journal that I ever had the leather is so beautiful and soft and the look of the papers is just breath taking will definitely purchase more when this one is full you should definitely buy one if you like writing

SO amazing - the craftsmanship is exceptional & I KNOW is without competion.
This is the real deal; materials authenticity of highest quality, obvious TOTAL care in creating... you'll be thrilled - truly.
This journal has great weight to it and no medium - ink, color pens, gesso, paint or mod podge seeps through to the next/back page! The pic below - "Gastroparesis" I put so much mod podge on it because none of the word strips would paste down smooth. The pages are super stiff, but... no seeping!
I like the old vintage look to the pages. Gotten alot of compliments on it. I will be buying a new one! :) Totally recommend this journal!
The paper is softer and thicker than what I expected, but it takes fountain pen ink amazingly well. Journaling is a pleasant experience. Every page looks ancient and different in its pattern of aging.

I've ordered many leather journals from your company in the past and all have been in great leather condition, with genuine soft leather feel and high quality craftsmanship. However, these last two journals I've purchased were not of the high quality, soft leather feel. They were dried out, stiff, cracked and wrinkled covers with stiff leather tie straps. They appear to have been exposed to moisture or something, because they are not what I'm use to receiving from this company. Very disappointed!!!

The journal arrived sooner than I anticipated and was carefully packaged. Upon opening it I realized this journal was not the right size for my needs (5X7 is smaller than I realized!). This was my fault but I chose to find out if I could exchange it for a larger journal. So far, my experience with this exchange has not been positive. The first email I sent was ignored entirely, so I sent another correspondence hoping someone might see it. Eventually, someone did and responded but these responses have been slow to come back and there is still no resolution after two weeks (even though I have been clear about what I need the person I have been emailing with doesn't seem to know what steps they need to take to resolve the issue). Since Nomad Crafts prides itself on its customer service I wanted to make it known that this doesn't seem to be the case, as of right now. I am hoping things will be resolved soon.

The journal I purchased was so timeless and well crafted! I gave it to my boyfriend for Christmas and he was in awe of the wonderful craftsmanship. I will definitely be purchasing from this business again!!
I bought one of these. A few things to say about my experience. Shortly after purchasing on the web site, I received shipping details. It said it be about a week before it would arrive. I was pleasantly surprised that it arrived 2 days later via Amazon. Color me surprised. Couldn't be happier about their shipping.
Then there's the book! It's amazing! It looks just like what you see in their photos and videos. This particular book, the 'Book Of Shadows, is made of excellent quality materials. It turned out much higher quality than I could have imagined. You see handmade leather bound journals online all the time. But way too rarely do they live up to the expectations set out by the ones making and selling them. Nomad hit this one out of the park.
Then there's the paper! It's looks and feel absolutely ANCIENT! They really pulled everything off when designing and making this book.
I'm keeping these in mind for the upcoming holidays, because I know people that would be absolutely stunned to receive one of these.
Edit: I somehow forgot to point out that the price on these are ridiculously low considering the quality of parts and manufacture overall. It's a no-brainer if you're on the fence about getting one. You won't be disappointed.
I saw this journal on an Instagram post from an artist whose work is always spectacular. I investigated Nomad and found the journals. They were beyond my budget as I am a retired schoolteacher, but I was mesmerized. I threw caution to the winds resolving to eat peanut butter for a month and bought it. I love it. It looks and feels like something Socrates or at least Shakespeare would have carried. My art journaling attempts are pitiful in comparison to nearly anyone else, but I am having fun and isn’t that what it’s all about?
It is exactly what I wanted and needed.
I’ve never kept a journal, me doing this is a inspiration of my wife how died in February.
